The Giving Tree Project

Have you ever seen the Angel Trees at Christmas time, where people can take an ornament off the tree and get a gift for a family in need? What about the other 11 months of the year?

The Giving Tree Project is a year-round initiative to share our resources with our neighbors. Maybe you have extra bars of soap in your cabinet, or maybe you wouldn’t mind buying an extra bag of rice on your Aldi run this week. Or perhaps you have a box of clothes that your kid grew out of that you keep forgetting to donate.

The Driftless Neighbors Network is taking requests from local organizations that support our most vulnerable populations. We have a Sign-Up Genius with all of our current requests where you can see what our neighbors need and commit to fulfilling a request, just like bringing a dish to a pot-luck. Click below for our current request list:

Our current Sign-Up Genius link will appear here once an administrator configures it.

The types of items we provide are:

  • Household supplies
  • Personal care items
  • Home furnishings
  • Clothing
  • Shelf-stable food

Small acts make big change: consider fulfilling one item today!

To get notified of new requests, sign up for our email list here!
